About
I’m a naturally analytical thinker who enjoys uncovering patterns and bringing structure to complex problems. I’m known for asking thoughtful questions, building clean systems, and translating data into insights that are both actionable and easy to understand.
Outside of analytics, I value creativity and intentional design — which influences how I approach dashboards and reporting. I believe clarity is powerful, and good analysis should make decision-making simpler, not harder.
My background spans GxP-regulated environments, batch release timelines, defect-rate tracking, and cross-site performance comparisons. I translate messy operational data into clear KPIs that help leaders make faster, safer decisions.
Selected Work
Operational Health Dashboard
Cross-site KPI view — volume, cost, defect rate, on-time rate, cycle time, downtime, CSAT — with monthly trends and site-level comparisons.
Overview
Designed and built an executive-level operational dashboard in Tableau Public to monitor manufacturing and service performance across six production sites and five departments throughout 2025. The dashboard consolidates 10,950 daily operational records into a single view, enabling stakeholders to track KPI performance against defined targets in real time and identify underperforming sites or departments at a glance.
Objective
Transform raw multi-source operational data into an actionable monitoring tool that surfaces defect rate trends, on-time delivery performance, cycle time efficiency, downtime patterns, and customer satisfaction scores — all filterable by site, department, and time period.
Tools & Technologies
Tableau Public · CSV data sources · Star schema data modeling · Calculated fields · Quick Table Calculations · Dashboard Actions
Data Model
Built a star schema with a central fact table (Fact_OperationalHealth) related to four dimension tables covering site, department, date, and KPI targets. Target values are referenced via calculated fields rather than direct joins to preserve row-level data integrity.
Key Features & Visuals
- 7 KPI scorecards with dynamic target badges (On Target / At Risk / Off Target) driven by status calculated fields
- Combo chart overlaying monthly bar production against a 1.5% reference line
- Color-coded horizontal bar charts for defect rate and on-time rate by site, using conditional color logic that accounts for metric direction (lower-is-better vs. higher-is-better)
- Donut chart showing cost distribution across departments using Quick Table Calculation for percent-of-total labels
- Cross-filter dashboard actions enabling click-to-filter interactivity across all panels
- Dual-axis line chart comparing monthly downtime hours against CSAT score
- Site performance summary table with inline conditional formatting
Skills Demonstrated
Data modeling · Calculated field authoring · Conditional logic (IF/ELSEIF/END) · Reference lines · Dual-axis chart configuration · Quick Table Calculations · Dashboard layout and container management · Filter scoping · Interactivity design · Visual formatting and color theory
QC Batch Hold Times Dashboard
Active batch monitoring for a GxP-qualified QC lab at Riverside Foods: hold windows, test-type breakdowns, alert thresholds, and analyst-level release tracking.
Overview
Designed and built an interactive quality control dashboard in Tableau Public to monitor batch hold time compliance across five test types and five production lines at a food manufacturing facility. The dashboard tracks 60 active QC batches against regulatory hold time windows, giving QC analysts and supervisors real-time visibility into which batches are approaching expiry, overdue for release, or safely within their hold window.
Objective
Surface batch-level hold time risk at a glance — replacing manual spreadsheet monitoring with a structured, filterable view that prioritizes the most time-critical batches and enables faster intervention before hold windows are breached.
Tools & Technologies
Tableau Public · Excel data source · Star schema data modeling · Calculated fields · Row-level status logic · Reference lines · Dashboard Actions
Data Model
Built a star schema with Fact_Batches as the central table, related to a Dim_Date calendar dimension via a DATE() calculated field to resolve a Date & Time vs. Date type mismatch — a common real-world Tableau modeling challenge. The Targets table was intentionally left unjoined and referenced via calculated fields to prevent row multiplication.
Key Features & Visuals
- 4 top-line KPI scorecards (Total Batches, Received, In Testing, On Hold) with status color coding
- Multi-filter control panel spanning Hold Batch ID, Status, Test Type, Production Line, and Batch Status
- Side-by-side horizontal bar charts comparing batch counts and average hours remaining by test type
- % of time used chart with alert and warning thresholds rendered as inline reference lines
- Detailed batch-level table with analyst attribution, release due date, and hours remaining
- GxP compliant footer with data refresh timestamp and FAT test protocol context
Skills Demonstrated
Regulatory-aware dashboard design · Star schema modeling with mismatched data types · Calculated date conversion · Row-level status logic · Threshold visualization · Multi-dimensional filter design · GxP documentation context
